I happened to catch a re-run of this show not to long ago and I got to thinking about how many great automotive themed episodes there were. I can't remember them all in detail off the top of my head, but here are a few:

The Nomad:

This was Jill's (Tim's wife's) daily driver until he left it under a crane at a worksite and a steel beam was dropped on it

Tim built this car over the course of a few seasons and then raced Bob Villa who was driving Boyd Coddington's "Aluma Coupe"

Better yet, just click over to the Internet Movie Car Database's listing of all the vehicles that appeared: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

My favorite scene by far is when Tim finds his first car (a Chevy Corvair) only to see it get crushed at the scrap yard. Trying to cheer him up Jill trades her Austin Healey for a similar model. Watch the whole episode here or skip to 6:40 for the scene. His reaction is priceless:

That fact that this is the first thing that came to mind and you found it almost instantly is....disturbing

80s/90s sitcoms have a very special place in my heart. I remember staying up as a kid to watch the Cosby Show, Full House, All in the Family, Home Improvement, and a lot more. Al and Wilson were the best thing about that show!

I've just started rewatching this show, it's great. Seems to age pretty well, too. With the exception of comments about 56k modems, 286 chips and other random technology, the rest of the show is still relevant.
